A warm welcome to our blog from me, Little Lady, or as I’m more commonly known as: Grace Malinee
I’m the Lit Ladies’ youngest and littlest member. At only 4 foot 10 inches tall, the world is a big and scary place; but I’m trying to tackle it all– one sentence at a time.
I can often be found haunting cafes and Barnes&Nobles with my laptop and writing notebook in hand. I’m an aspiring Young Adult author who reads a lot of Young Adult and Middle Grade novels. I have a partly whimsical and partly dark imagination and I simply love to craft worlds of my own.
I began writing at the age of twelve. Sitting in the back of my 6th grade English class filling my tattered notebook with lines of dialogue and character sketches instead of lecture notes; I knew then what I wanted to do with my life. I wanted to be a writer. And I haven’t turned back since.
Between the life of a college student, volunteer work, and extra-curricular activities; sometimes the words fluttering in my brain get drowned out by the noisiness of life. But I always seem to find enough time to get a little writing done, because with me, writing isn’t something I just want to do– writing is something I have to do.
On this blog I create posts about writing tips, book reviews, spirituality, and advice for all the young people trying to wade through life like me. Lets face it, the world is confusing and wild, but luckily I have a loving family, amazing friends, and my fellow Lit Ladies to help me survive it all. I may not have everything figured out, but at least I can turn my confusion into words on paper.
While noveling is my primary focus, I dabble a bit in poetry, and some of my work can be found on the Teen Ink online magazine here.
There are stories that need to be told and words that need to be written, and luckily you are just the person to write them.
God bless you all. I hope you have a simply marvelous day.
